About this install
This Glen Waverley family uses a lot of energy, with ducted AC, heat pump hot water, two people working from home and plenty of devices running throughout the day.
Their quarterly power bills were climbing past $1,000. They wanted to make better use of their solar and rely less on the grid.
We installed:
- 6.6kW solar on the north‑west facing roof
- 10kW three‑phase inverter
- 41.44kWh battery storage using four FoxESS EP11 modules
The challenge: limited battery space
The garage had a narrow section of brick wall available for the battery. There wasn't enough room for a large, bulky unit.
So we needed a battery setup that could work with the space they actually had.
We chose FoxESS EP11 and stacked four modules to provide 41.44kWh of storage, while keeping the installation compact and practical for the garage.
Sized around their energy use
We didn't just choose a standard package.
We looked at how the family uses energy throughout the day — including their daytime use while working from home, higher evening usage and overnight consumption.
A smaller battery wouldn't have provided enough storage for their needs. The larger 41.44kWh system gives them more stored energy to use after the sun goes down and through the night.
Designed for the home
Every home is different.
The roof space, available wall space and energy use all matter when choosing the right system.
We design the system around the home — not the other way around.
