[PA Power Technology, Inc.] ("PA Power", "we", "us") provides solar, battery storage and microgrid systems for homes and businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through:
It does not cover the SafePowerHems mobile app, which has its own policy: SafePowerHems App Privacy Policy. If you are both a website visitor and an app user, both policies apply to their respective activities.
We only collect what we need. The table below covers everything, including the categories used by California law.
| Category | What this includes | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers & contact details | Name, email address, phone number, city and state, property or installation address. | You, when you submit a form, call, email or message us. |
| Project & property information | Property type, roof or site details, existing solar or battery equipment, backup and storage requirements, utility provider, rate plan, electricity usage, monthly bill amount, project timeline, and anything else you write in your message. | You; your utility, if you authorize us to obtain your usage data. |
| Commercial information | Quotes, proposals, contracts, installation and service records, warranty and support history. | Generated as we work with you. |
| Internet & device activity | IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time on page, clicks and scrolling, referring website or ad, and cookie or advertising identifiers. | Collected automatically by cookies and tags when you visit (see §4). |
| Approximate location | City/region-level location estimated from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location through this website. | Automatically, via analytics. |
| Business contact information | For distributor and installer applications: company name, role, license or contractor details, service area, business contact details. | You, when you apply to partner with us. |
| Inferences | Whether your property looks suitable for solar or storage, estimated system size and savings, and lead quality or stage. | Derived from the information above. |
Our website forms are not designed to collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account or card numbers, precise geolocation, health information, biometric data, or information about race, religion, union membership, sexual orientation, or the contents of your private messages. Please do not enter this kind of information in a form or email.
If you apply for financing (for example a $0-upfront or loan option), credit and income information is collected and assessed directly by the financing provider under its own privacy policy and applicable financial privacy laws. We do not run credit checks through this website.
We do not use your information to make decisions about you by purely automated means that would have a legal or similarly significant effect, and we do not profile you for those purposes.
We use a tag manager (Google Tag Manager) to deploy the tools below. Google Tag Manager is a container: it does not collect personal information by itself, but it loads the tags that do.
| Tool | Purpose | What it collects / receives | Controls |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 G-4T7PEGYKHY |
Website analytics | Cookie ID, IP address (used to estimate location, then discarded by Google), pages and events, device and browser, traffic source. | Your Privacy Choices; Google Analytics opt-out add-on |
| Google Ads AW-18369836523 (incl. doubleclick.net) |
Conversion measurement & remarketing | Advertising cookie IDs, click identifiers, pages visited, form submissions counted as conversions. | Your Privacy Choices; Google My Ad Center |
| Strictly necessary cookies | Site function & security | Session, load-balancing, spam and abuse prevention, and your saved cookie preference. | Always on; cannot be switched off. |
Because these advertising tools share online identifiers with Google for cross-context advertising, some state privacy laws treat this as "sharing" or as a "sale" of personal information — even though no money changes hands and even though we do not sell customer lists. You can turn it off at any time: see Your Privacy Choices.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising for that browser. We also honour browser-level cookie controls, although blocking all cookies may break parts of the site.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described here:
| Who | Why | What they get |
|---|---|---|
| Installation partners, licensed contractors, electricians and engineering partners | To survey, design, permit, install and service your system | Name, contact details, site address, project and technical details |
| Equipment suppliers and manufacturers | Product supply, warranty registration and warranty claims | Name, site address, equipment and serial details |
| Financing and leasing providers (only if you ask about financing) | To assess and offer financing you request | Contact details and project scope; credit information is collected by them directly |
| Utilities, permitting offices and incentive programme administrators | Interconnection, permits, rebates and tax-credit paperwork | Whatever the application requires |
| Technology service providers — website hosting, email, CRM, form handling, cloud storage | To run our business on our behalf, under contract | Only what is needed for the service |
| Google (Analytics & Ads) | Analytics and advertising measurement | Online identifiers and website activity — see §4 |
| Professional advisers, insurers, auditors | Legal, accounting, insurance and compliance | Only as necessary |
| Authorities, or a buyer in a corporate transaction | Where required by law or legal process, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets | As required or as part of the transaction |
Our service providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us, not for their own purposes.
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls and least-privilege access to our email and CRM systems, and staff confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
Use the "Your Privacy Choices" control in our website footer to opt out of analytics and advertising cookies, or send a GPC signal from your browser. Opting out does not change the website's core functionality.
Wherever you live in Australia, you may ask us to:
To protect your information we need to verify who you are, usually by matching two or more details against our records — we will never ask for more information than necessary. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission that we can verify. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need up to another 45 days.
If we decline your request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing sales@papower.com.au with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to appeals within 60 days. If we deny the appeal, we will tell you how to contact your state Attorney General.
We will never deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you lower quality service because you exercised a privacy right.
Need this policy in an alternative accessible format, or help submitting a request? Contact us and we will assist.
The Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) applies to Victorian government agencies and their contracted service providers. It does not directly regulate private businesses like us — our handling of your personal information is regulated by the federal Privacy Act. If your complaint concerns a Victorian government agency's handling of your personal information, you can contact the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner (OVIC). Health information in Victoria is separately covered by the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic), which does not apply to us as we are not a health service provider.
The Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) applies to NSW government agencies, and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW) applies to health service providers. Neither directly regulates our handling of your personal information; the federal Privacy Act does. If your complaint concerns a NSW public sector agency, you can contact the Information and Privacy Commission NSW (IPC NSW).
The Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) applies to Queensland government agencies only. Our handling of your personal information is regulated by the federal Privacy Act. If your complaint concerns a Queensland government agency, you can contact the Office of the Information Commissioner Queensland.
Western Australia and South Australia currently have no specific privacy legislation. Tasmania (Personal Information Protection Act 2004), the Northern Territory (Information Act 2002) and the ACT (Information Privacy Act 2014) each have privacy legislation that applies to their own public sectors. Regardless of which state or territory you live in, your rights in relation to personal information we hold arise under the federal Privacy Act, and the choices in §7 are available to all Australian residents.
Our website and services are intended for adults who own or manage property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact sales@papower.com.au and we will delete it.
Our site links to third-party sites, app stores and social media pages that we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.
PA Power website and services are directed to users in Australia, and information is processed in Australia. If you access the site from outside Australia, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in Australia, which may have different data-protection rules than your own country.
We may update this policy. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will make the update prominent on the website.
